In this space I'm to describe the purpose of this group's existence. That question is impossible to answer, for I do not yet know the purpose of my own existence, but I'm not that easily thwarted, so I'll give it my best go.
TGC is all about game design hobbyists coming together to build a game. Yes, there it is. Simple and to the point. I like it.
I will be generating a simple set of core game, um, 'ingredients' if you will (and I know some of you won't, but bear with me), and then I'll send out a call for folks who want to help build that game. These guidelines are to ensure that we have a game that can be made in our spare time.
For those members who aren't hip, cool, or interested enough to get in on the action, I will be charting our progress on the main website (thegamecookery.com). There, you can observe, make comments or suggestions, or verbally abuse us in true internet forum fashion.
The meetings will cost money to attend, but do read where that money goes, because it's a pretty sweet little idea if I do say so myself. Indeed!
Thanks for joining. Hit me up with any clever questions or comments. In a pinch I'll take questions and comments of the non-clever variety.
